a sin is a sin, and if i dont know what a sin is by now...i have real problems...
and.....
its worse to kill something (for example) an elephant cuz i would obviously know i was killing it....
compared too
killing (for example) an ant, cuz i stepped on the poor lil thing..as I didnt see him running around under my feet...
but then again.....people kills flies on purpose, they know there gonna kill them, but yet do it anyways. so the sin is known and yet they do it again and again....
raavana, i dont want to talk about animals anymore today....
OHHHH...
but my dog said last night, he was wagging is tail cuz his back itched and wanted attention.....but this morning he was wagging cuz the kids left for school and there was peace in the house....im NOT gonna keep asking him, as it may get personal and i dont want to know what his thoughts are all the time...
but really....you should know whats wrong and right...but if someone didnt i would think the lesser sin would be not knowing it was a sin, but that only works once...cuz the lesson would be learned...
Why don't you bring up a topic of real emotion? Most people don't care s*** about an ant, and don't have the means to kill an elephant in the first place.
If someone had broken into your house and stabbed you, and now was coming at you again, but you shot him/her and they died, you killed them so you sinned.
But then what? It was self defense, right? Do you deserve to go to heaven or hell?
Sin is something you do knowingly. The degree of which that sin is judged, has to do with HOW you did and not WHAT you did. If you did your very best not to commit a sin, and yet still did, is that sin? I think not. If God is the judge, then He knows how well you did. If you were driving a car and did everything in your power to avoid hitting another car, but still did. And someone died, then are you guilty of that death? I think not. But if you purposely stepped on an ant, are you guilty? I think so.
Sin can also be an act or omission, or a non act. If it was in you power to save someone, and you did not, then are you guilty? I think so.
The question always is... "Did you do your best to do what was right?"
