I have many! I come from a huge family my mom is one of 8 children my dad one of 7 one I consider adopted on top of many aunts and uncles that I call family and are not family by blood but by heart! Being that there is so many of us it is hard to get together sometimes. But we have kept many traditions alive still... my mom's side of the family celibrates Christmas on Christmas eve in part to the german part of my family. We then have our immediate family on Christmas morning and my dad's side shortly after! As a tradition my gift to all my aunts and uncles is banana bread that my grandma on my mom's side taught me to make. My sister makes fudge. An for all our neighbors and the elders in the community we bake a lot of cookies for them! I have carried on the tradition on my dad's side being the oldest grand daughter since my grandma passed away of making cabbage rolls every Christmas and Thanksgiving. On the forth of july we pretty much have a huge family get together and we have every year since my Aunt Mary passed away. Though we are a very big family we have always been very close. Children are taught to respect elders and in our family if you see a child doing something wrong you do what you think their punishment should be. And you never touched anything on my grandma's shelf. If you did something really wrong you went and picked your switch! It was the way my mom and dad were raised and the way I was raised it will be the way my children are raised. May sound harsh but I believe its right being that it has kept me and my cousins in line!
