Well this this what Corinthians 1, chapter 13 says:
Love is patient,love is kind.
It does not envy ,it does not boast,it is not proud.
It is not rude,it is not self-seeking,it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth.
It always protects,always trusts,always hopes,always perseveres.
I'm not bible-bashing, btw, I'm agnostic......
I just always liked this passage.
Have found it good to refer to whenever I've felt confused about anyone's affections..

I have the capacity to love very deeply...What I don't have the capacity to do anymore is to love someone who doesn't love me back and the capacity to get hurt anymore...So...I just don't care anymore and I'm done!!!!!!!!
