Recently, the us government unveiled a plan to stimulate the economy by issuing a check to all tax payers in the amount of $300 to $600. If you have dependants, that amount could be as much as $1200.
Do not cash this check. It is Just a loan Next year, the IRS will take that money back either from your refund for 2008 or by applying that amount to your gross income.
The idea behind this plan is that you, the taxpayer, will spend this "free money" and thus stimulate the economy.
So my question to the Government is: What about next year?

Just a "return to sender"
I don't think they have any clue as to how this is going to SCREW up the economy even more. Esecially the lower and middle class who count on their refunds each year

This plan takes the cake! (hmm, that's a good idea, think I will bake a cake... uuuummmmmm)
It has got to be the most ignorant idea Bush has ever come up with.
Next year???? You owe the government. If you dont pay... you go for a ride in the box car...
Hi Ho... Hi Ho... It's off to FEMA camp we GO>>>>>>>>>>>!!!!!!!
I figured out a way to get around it. Cash the check in 2008. Immediately quit your job. Get knocked up with twins. Go apply for welfare. and food stamps. Don't go back to work next year. or ever.
We'll show the government who has the upper hand! Mwahahaha!

That does nothing to show the government the upper hand, it shows the taxpayer who they voted in to government.....
