The higher Self if very different than our ego self. The ego depends always on
something 'outside' ourself to feel validated.
Our higher Self always feels right - has a 'knowing' that something is 'right'.

I should have listened to my higher Self as well when asked to get married. It wasn't a good
match at all. I knew very instinctively it was going to be the wrong thing to do. It lasted for
a very short time.

I guess it would be the inner voice of reason which some call instinct while some call it gut feeling.
I dont have any specific incident to quote but every time i have a feeling with in which i ignore i do realise laters that i would have been better off believing the inner voice.

I believe that the females in my family all have a bit of psychic in them particularly my mum.. shes a freak sometimes.. particularly when it comes to us.. her kids..its like she can read our mind and is directly connected to us...
Recently went out with a guy and she was just so concerned... kept ringing me texting me etc... when I told her it was finished she was sooo relieved and said that she had this horrible gut feeling that she couldn't get rid of.. I think she was definitely onto something.. wont get into it ..
Also when my brother died she was out in the cinema with my dad and in the middle of the show started crying and insisted on leaving the cinema saying damien is dead.. when she went home he had died...
Also years ago when my sis had a bad athsma attack.. she was on route to Galway or somewhere on hols and turned the car and came back.. said she had a feeling that something was wrong..

I believe that too Dusty.. I used to read fortunes.. a friend got me a pack of Tarot Cards and I used to mess around with them.. I ended up burning them cause it freaked me out.. I was too accurate sometimes and was a bit afraid of them TBH...
I also have good hunches.. problem is where as it is possibly useful for other people I normally am slow to listen to my own.. I do listen eventually.. guess don't want to believe them sometimes..

She is VERY connected (gifted) with her Higher Self, (sounds like to me...).
I believe that we can develop that side of us, too. Could be we need to pay
attention to coincidental things that happen to us, synchronistic happenings.
Listen to our feelings more.

I have had some freaky experiences also..like when I got the offer for college (to do law) I was away working at sea (college vacation job) on a Ferry.. the way the shifts operated was that you worked two weeks on (ie 14 days) and one week off.. in the middle of the first week of a shift I got this notion to just walk away from my job. no reason.. no issues.. just walked off when we docked.. when I got home the offer for college was there and if I hadn't accepted it the next day I would have lost the place....
