Hi Just wondering if anyone got some good real ghost stories to tell. Here is one to get started with.

A mate of my was checking out this building and whent into this room to make a phone call. the build was a old hospital and was soon to be knock down. He closed the door behind him and made his phone call. As he turned round he saw the handle of the door being pushed down and the door started to open. He then felt a cold wind fill the room as the the door was flung wide open. Needless to say he got out of the room as quick as possible. Just as he passed the door way the door slammed shut behind him. He found out later that other guys checking this building had experienced strange things in there too. When talking to one of the senior guys on the site he was told that a nurse had died in the building 1946 and was said to be still in there protecting it. The building is gone now but some guys still avoid the area where it once stood.

So anyone else got some good stories to tell?hug

I work in an old Victorian building which used to be an old people home. I am always seeing dark shapes floating along the corridors at night toward one particular room. Its now a home for people with personality disorders one client was always saying the was something not right with her room. I am convinced she seen the figure of an old lady many of us have seen sitting in a chair in her room.

I was born and brought up in a isolated village and this happened a few years before i was born

My Grandparents were quite wealthy and live in What you could only call a mansion which was three stores high with 16 bedrooms of varying sizes.
All the family lived there my mother and father my aunty and uncles.

The Mansion was well off the main road you had to pass by the lodge and go down the drive to reach it. The main road if you can call it that had very little traffic as it was a vilage and we talking about 1950 not many cars about.

Anyway my grandfather was dying in the downstairs room with all the family around him, Apart from my mothers cousin who was up in top most storey working.

There was a lot of noise out side the room my grandfather was dying in sounding like people coming out of a pub at night. So my father and uncle race out side to quite them down . However they found no one there they race up the drive to the main road there were no one round.

When they got back my Grandfather had passed away. Now before my Grandfather had retired he had owned a pub. So my grandmother was convinced it was his old regulars coming to meet him.

Now the interesting thing about this on questioning the cousin who was up in the third storey above where the noise came from he had not heard anything

WoW that is spokey. but i have one here that might make you feel more spokey.

I work as a security officer on this site. the site has a lot of history. I have not told my fellow security officers about this so you are the first.
I was walking through this building two weeks ago and as i opened this door i felt a cold wind brush by me. I put it down to the air flowing through the building. After about five minutes i started to feel a bit uncomfortable and as i turn corner i saw a roman soldier with his spear walking not more then ten yards in front of me. But the crazy thing about it was that only half of him was visible. Talking to the locals they told me that since the Romans were here the ground had risen but the ghost of the roman still remain at the same level. I don't mind saying i love ghosts,

I have loads as porsha could tell you lol but this one still gets to me, not in a bad way its just that I don’t understand why I wasn’t scared at the time ok here goes....

We used to live in a flat when I was about 7 years old but it was more like a bungalow as we lived at the bottom, to cut a long story short it was my then mothers husbands flat. It was a bit cramped as it only had two bedrooms, my two brothers where in one bedroom and I had the front bedroom while my mother and her husband slept in the living room.

Sorry for the boring stuff any ways I had a double bed in my room and being so tiny I would sleep by the wall leaving the rest of bed MT, sometimes when I was a wake or even while I slept I would be disturbed in the middle of the night with my bed creaking and then on the MT side it would dip down as if someone was there. This wasn’t a small dip as I would sometimes feel my self slide towards the space. When this happened which was on quite a few occasions I had a feeling of well being and was not at all frightening. By morning my bed would be flat again.

One day as I came home from school I knocked on our front door, as my mother answer I could see a womanly figure behind her going up the hall and as she reached the far end she turned the corner to the back bedroom, as I followed my mother in to the flat I asked her why my sister Jo was in the lads bedroom and she replied that Jo wasn’t in.

Well I thought Jo was planning to hide or something so I ran to the back bedroom but there was no one there, as I walked back I had my mother taunting me “I told you Jo wasn’t here” so I told her about the woman I had just seen going towards the bedroom and about the things that happen to my bed, at that point my mothers husband butted in and told me his mother used to live with him here and also that I was sleeping in the bed that she had died in (not a pleasant thought but I was 7 and couldn’t afford a new bed my self lol)

in 1982 the phone in my house rang
my dad took the call

he came off the phone as white as
a sheet my mum asked what was
wrong

he said that was your mum and
gave her the message

thing was she had died in 1981
and the message was something
that only my mum would understand jaw drop

I assured him t was.nt me..
That following day i threw the phone away in to the bin. moping

yes i remember one nite having no fixed abode i slept in a crematoium as it was very cold that nite.

But realizing why the place was so warm. I could.nt sleep to good. But i saw nothing unusual. Just the fact that what took place there on a daily basis. made my imagination play games.

i spoke to one of the workers there and they told me that most bodies are burn in one go.
So those ashes you get could be anyones

They did say however that the amount of melted gold they find. is collected and goes towards a good xmas.

When my mum died it was so unexpected and such a shock and with mum's death being the first ever close family death i was totally devastated, after funeral i used to go to bed at night and play mum's fav song on my personal cd player over and over and cry my heart out,i had been doing this for over a week after funeral and the last time i did it was when playing the song again i heard my mum's voice shouting my name in her stern voice, i stopped immediately, she was scolding me.
