I think a powerful man is the one who can take a good care of his women, kindness is power, a smile is power, and sometimes teers considered a lot of power.

When I say "gold", I mean treating her as someone precious to you in your heart.

Unfortuneately, some people take advantage of your niceness hon, that's what it is... people who take advantage of it are stupid. It'd be WONDERFUL to have man to treat their woman like gold, if powerful to you means supporting and protecting as well as treating them like gold.. the woman only lets the man think he is greater than she is,that is why they always stay a step or 2 a head of the man.
that is why since the beginning of man kind man has been chasing the woman and not the woman chasing the man.
but now a days there are some woman who knows what they want and they are not afraid to go after it.

I think lot's of women look for security or a man that is there for them, but the way you describe it, it looks more like controling women. The word power scares me if you use it in this context...
I think what people need in a relationship is mutual friendship and especially mutual respect. If it isn't mutual, you could better stop the relationship.
