How to ease my sister pain of pending divorce (23)
RillyNiceGuy: Planning for a new and better future is a way of keeping things more upbeat. She can make plans for a better job, better house, more time to study for what she wants to be or do. Let the past clear a way to new life and future.

prncss4someone: they say that divorce is like a death. When you think about it, I guess that is true. That part of your life has died. I don't think that there are words to say that would make her feel better. Actions speak louder than words. Show her that you care and are there for her. Maybe take her to lunch or shopping or whereever, try to get her out of the house and keep her active if you have the time. Lend an ear, instead of talking, just listen. It will feel nice for her to get things off of her mind.
Good advice and yes it is like some sort of death and therefore the stages of grieving apply!!!!!!!!!!
