i have been with too many people while they died to be able to just 'sit there'. regardless of what they have done, i would want to talk to them, hold their hand and comfort them- they are already paying the ultimate price for what they have done. If I could d that then Yes, if not, No, if that makes any sense!!

Scottishlass: could you witness an execution??

Only reason I thought of this is, the tv program I was watching ended with a guy being put to death in prison by the needle.
I don't think I could just sit & watch anybody die.
Nope...it would be on my mind for life..whether he was innocent..quilty..innocent...quilty..I would be thinking of his poor family and what they would be going through..So no i could not

It sounds like the movie, The Walking Dead with Sean Penn.
I could hardly watch it in the movie. NO WAY would I need to see it.
I'm not even sure how I feel about the death penalty anymore.
I use to be against it. but sometimes now there are times when I hear of things people have done that I think deserves the death penalty, then I think that prison is hell so let them live the rest of their lives in hell.

I can see where you are coming from, but why should tax payers provide room and board as well as medical expenses, for a person the rest of their lives!! They eat better and have medical, which many law abiding citizens don't have!!

I'd like to think I couldn't do it - however as a mother if harm to my child was involved, I probably could.
