sorry to sound like a broken record here by repeating what other aussie and NZ ladies have said.. but yawn

I have just found that many ..and no I'm not saying all :-).. american men (and women) live in a very insular world (and in case you don't know -
insular means - narrowly restricted in outlook or scope; "insular attitudes toward foreigners") ..

by that I personally mean.. they seem to believe they are better than anyone else.. sorry.. don't mean to be rude.. but you did ask!! laugh

and we can laugh at how pathetic that response was roll eyes you don't get it do you??

that is the attitude I was referring to

how many americans know the prime minister of australia or the united kingdoom?? how many americans know the capitals of many other countries..

how many other cultures do you learn about in your schools apart from your own?? oh apart from brain washing your youth into believing america is it and always right and all powerful

just look at your hollywood movies... its always america that saves the day... give me a break.. that is what I meant by insular in your outlook

I watched a TV show once and they went around america asking the general public questions about other countries... 95% of them didnt have a clue ... surprise surprise

what does that tell you?

i tried to say good day to one american in cebu he just walked past me and snobbed me if my friends were not with me i would have tripped him from behind
