Wecome to the world of dialup. (I know because that is what I'm using)
It take forever, for pages to download, even longer for pictures. I seem to burnup more internet time than I am allowed per month.
I live in a valley, so cell phones are hit and miss on my yard depending where you are located and which way your head happens to be turned.

The good news is for $$$ you can get a amplifier/receiver to make your cell phone in your house work better.
At least here in Mb. fro $$$ you can get high speed internet, with a satellite system.

wave Just wanting to let you know have been thinking bout you there in "no man's land" or "no woman's land". And, to let you know you are not alone in the whole "I cannot believe this is happening" scenerio.

I too, on several occasions over the past yearish, have taken to honestly wondering like "what the hell, what next, are you effing kidding me".
There are times where one can feel that someone is just seriously messing with them - Just remember...WHAT DOESN'T KILL YA, WILL ONLY MAKE YOU STRONGER! angel Hang in there, those brick walls were made for climbing over or busting through...cheering

grin Here is another "are you flipping kidding me?"

What you don't want to hear when your new car is still in the shop after 5 days "we are taking a shot in the dark here, but we think it is something electrical..."
My response? I laugh, seriously, the other option being? Cry, Yell, Both?
What the hell, reason for everything, right? angel

Well here is what I did, I told them that since it would just not start out of the blue, all times of day or night, all areas of city, that they could give me their private # so I could contact them to rescue me & kids whenever it happened...They gave me a loaner and now they won't let me have my car - they are not sure if the new starter will fix the problem...scared of me - don't want to "face my wrath or lightening bolts" if it screws up on me at important time ...so I keep driving this ugly accord. A kinda special guy had an idea of what it may be, I called the mechanic dude and again, he is ? my sanity...but they will "look into it"...So I am going to Lloyd to see my son race in a "courtesy" vehicle, grin Thats ok - as long as I get there and back all is good. thumbs up
This has been ongoing for 6 weeks. I have had the car of ummm 6 weeks. Pisses me off, cuz I researched and looked and shopped and everything - decided to buy from reputable dealer cuz my parents said so - and feel like ....I will rant about it and won't help! Not going there...it will all work out in the end. angel

From what ur saying i'm thinking maybe the alternator slips lose at times or maybe it's a sensor in the computer.
Does it start after it's been left alone for a while?and what lights if any came on on the dash?

We are thinking a short of some kind. It is hit or miss, out of the blue. turn the key, all lites come on, turn key to full start, nothing! SFA!!! minutes later/hours later who knows/ uptown/ downtown/ getting to appt./day or night/. Good thing is, it did it to a guy at the specialty place (audio) and it did it at the shop to the head mechanic - so atleast they believe me now. It was getting kinda scary/becoming a safety issue - there is not always someone around to come get me you know. And tow trucks - that adds up $$$. But boosting didn't help...
To top it all off, they had the alarm and command start that was on the car when I paid for it, removed (they thought that was the issue) WTF is with that - refund $?
My mom always said, T you get more flies with honey than vinegar - so this ain't finished yet - I am just going to be really calm, happy and nice - that freaks them out more than anything!!!innocent

Sounds like what my Sundance did to me...turned out it was a sensor.

The only things I can see are like i said maybe the alternator loosens up every now and then,a sensor in the computer or maybe the engine ground that goes to the transmission.

Hope they fix it for u and yes ask for a refund for what they removed.

Best of luck,my girl is dragging me out the door for a walk lol.wave

dunno I hardly ever play the lottery, but decided to pick up a ticket for yesterdays...but always play my own numbers and a couple of quick picks. Well, on Monday, whilst buying my tickets, little one was being a "gem", so in the sake of 'get the hell outa the store, NOW" I just got the quicks and got out. Well, are you effing kidding me??? I wouldn't have one the big one with my numbers, but I woulda had 4 plus the bonus....haven't gone to the site to see what it would have been...but it would have been something....I know, didn't have it to lose...and all that! Still kinda pisses me off a tad angel

eyesthatknowwhy: i get to pick up my car today!!! They are doing me a favour by only charging me for half the cost of the starter - can see where this is going to go. I don't think it was/is the starter, think it is a wiring issue - and if it acts up again, that will be my proof...what a clusterf*ck! Have a good wknd!

Finally, have my "blessed" car back as of Saturday!banana Deal is this Curly, when the aftermarket alarm and/or command start shorted the day after I bought the car, it burnt the solinoid (?) in the starter - so it would connect on a random hit or miss basis. roll eyes
When presented with the bill, I very politely and diplomatically explained that according to the ministry of justice and Canadian Consumer Protection -the financial onus is on the dealership. I then explained that I had a migraine and CRAMPS!! Holy hell, might as well have yelled INCOMING!! - Men scatter (the power of one word). Was quickly provided with my car keys and the words "we will figure this out at a later date". They sent off on my merry, albeit crampy way! innocent
I will have to deal with this - can't have cramps forever sigh
hmmm must remember the "cramps" thing next time pulled over for speeding - don't think tears will work again angel

Had my own private printer in a government department once. Why? because everyone else - in the small unit which I worked - had one, instead of the network printers that was making its well known presence felt.

One day there was a 'klunk' and it stopped working, so I called IT, because I did not want to be seen working on it (could have fixed it too - if I could 'see' the future).

The IT guy looked at it for 5 minutes and said he had to take it to the shop. 10 minutes later I received an e-mail that I would not be getting it back because of blah, blah, blah.....

So back to the network printer I went (about two blocks away)

But I really started to wonder about that guy when I went into a coffee shop-TH's- which had a line-up about a block long. Guess what? my IT guy was at the front of the line. So I ran over to him and asked him if he could buy a coffee for me. He said no. I couldn't believe it. So I said 'are you serious'? He said yes. And he meant it.

Moral: The IT guy was bad, not the printer! very mad very mad

professor Actually, that 30 da warrenty is really just a myth- Canadian Consumer Protection Agency informed me of such-BUT, becasue the problem had been ongoing from time of purchase, it was their legal responsibility to find and fix problem on their dime. She told me they knew it, but would try to get out of it, which they did. Haven't heard from them laugh, probably all confused and wondering how long cramps last - it was seriously funny!laugh And my car, we fit, she is good, all is good - well sorta angel
