rusty_knight: How do you do?

I've given up drinking wine - it seems to hurt my teeth (as do the peanut 'M & M's' I just gobbled up quicker than you could yodel 'Peanuts!' from under Mary Popout's window under a full moon......but let's not digress).

I see, lookin ahead in the posts that you teach English and Spanish and bread making............ do you teach Spanish to the Spanish and English to the English, or do you do a 'little TEFL here and a little TESL there'?

P.S. Welcome!

hmmm, you raise some very interesting points...do you yodel under mary popout's window professionally...?... 'a little tefl here and a little tesl there'..ummm...i studied at uni for 5 years for the privilege to teach Spanish...and have taught English at some of the world's leading companies, such as ESSO, Pirelli... at some of the world's leading banks,... and also at some other important institutions, such as the Italian Stock Exchange... I love teaching...and it's my career, not some summer vacation student spending money earner...is that what you mean?wave

Ahhh ... a Good Teacher is worth their weight in gold! Its a special talent to be able to teach ...... I am just finding this out now. All those wasted years of my youth ........... Only now in German am I learning, realy learning, about "grammar"!

At first I thought "Oh heck!" when I saw this youngster who was to be my German teacher ...... unpacking his packets and bags of "teaching things" and dithering around pinning things up all over the walls ....... And then he began to Teach ....... Well, I have the utmost respect now for him ...... I am able to hold a conversation AT LONG LAST without having to say "huh....? "...... And one of those boring grammar things I was never able to actually grasp - I now understand ..... You know the Nominative/Dative/Accusative stuff? ... in German!!!! (Roll over in your grave my old english teacher!)cheers

Good show Guirri!!!!cheers

applause

Grammar can be absolutely fascinating if your teacher has the clue how to show it to his students 'from the inside'... yes, it takes skill, talent, imagination... in other words, a lot of creativity!
