I have corresponded with a lady here in Europe, who purports to be from one country.
As a bit of a sneaky trick, I tried to copy and paste her photos from this site. Sorry CS ...
The picture file names do not correspond with the country she says she comes from. Upon close inspection, they are stunning photos that look a little too good. Even when you blow up photos using a DTP there is normally degredation of the image. There is very little degradation.
What should I do? I now feel like I could be being scammed.

This is where web cams come into there own. I have one which I use very selectively. They are not expensive enough for someone who is true to use as an excuse not to buy one. It is the only way before meeting someone of an intication of their honesty.

The only way to find which country someone is in, is to give your home phone number, something I don't do. The home phone number will give you their country. But have only met guys so far just an hour or so away from me.

Ok then that theory blown out of the water. I didn't know you could do that with a land line.
Then it comes back to meeting in person, but the web cam cannot lie about who you are looking at, can it?
Also if someone asks directly or indirectly for money or tickets, then it should be taken as a scam. Never part with anything, even though your heart may be lost, hang on to your dignity.
The pic could have been made in another country. I think you need to ask 'her' (if what you're thinking is true, it might not be the correct gender, either!). Get some kind of verification you'll be satisfied with. If she can't or won't give that, well, your question is already answered. But tell us what it is 'she' could be scamming; it could be important to everyone in case this becomes a trend.

Well prove of life in kidnappings are usually given by sending a picture of the 'victim' with a recent newspaper in their hands.... Ask her that.... You could also ask her to send a ear...
Sad thing about people and computers, they can be anyone and from anywhere and one would never know! I feel bad for you, it makes it bad for people that are honest and use this website as a tool to meet people. Some people use it because they don't go out alot and truly believe that if you find someone in the bar scene that is where you will be dragging them out of all the time. I would say confront her and see what she says and decide if you believe her, if you don't move one..
