This past Saturday was my 5th year WATCHING A Prairie Home Companion (live broadcast from Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, Vienna, VA.).
I didn't grow up with this show, and bluegrass isn't my favorite music, but Garrison Keillor is so funny! Since we are 15 miles from Washington D.C., the show is always tailored -- making fun of politicians -- and always wonderful.

I listen to Garrison on NPR a lot. He's a good storyteller and has a great voice. Never saw him on TV since I don't watch TV. Sometimes I find his stories pretty funny, other times he seems to be grasping at straws to try to make a joke. Overall, I enjoy the show.
Is he on TV? I thought it was just radio. I was at Wolf Trap watching the performance -- I really enjoy watching the foley operator -- if is fun to see what they use for the sound effects.
Connecting Singles, Inc. is a Minnesota Corporation, so there must be a lot more people who listen to the show.
For Westdeck (and other non U.S.ers), Here's an explanation.
It's a weekly radio show with music and comedy sketches. Keillor talks about his fictitious hometown of Lake Wobegon, Minnesota, "the little town that time forgot and the decades cannot improve... where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and all the children are above average".
There is a lot of subtle humor, and they make fun of politicians and religions and other things that you would probably enjoy.
According to Wikipedia: In Europe, the show is currently broadcast by WRN Europe on Sundays at 1100 UTC. An alternative edition of the show is broadcast in the UK by BBC 7 and in Ireland by RTÉ under the name Garrison Keillor's Radio Show.
