I know this will sound too much like a know it all but I did at a glance have the answers and Yes I may be in for much retribution from all on the site, fair play, Losty is a Good Guy but Dracula was first written in London. He finished the last 3 chapters in Dublin, and why should we not claim it as our own. I agree!!! It was finished on Kildare Street, across from the Dail...Bram Stoker was living in London as a Theatrical Director at the he time commenced the epic. It is a Classic!!! He moved there after marrying Oscar Wilde's former Girlfriend and worked there at the request of Henry Irving for 7 years.

Most sorries Losty if I sounded harsh in my first post.

Losty is right because Oiche Shamhain is Halloween, Samhain is today...All Saints Day.

I think there are several answers to the 1940 question...what about the Russo-Finnish war?

The Finland invastion ended in March, all the questions being Hallow'een related.

Glad people enjoyed it BTW, beat giving out peanuts to kids in masks!
