I don't I like something to hold on to.
I think it depends on the fella....I have had the shoe on the other foot and guys tell me I am too slim...
speaking for myself, i would rather a full figured woman any day

Guess we all have our preferences or ideal. Some women go for slim men, I prefer them a bit beefy.
But when you meet someone whose personality clicks with yours and you connect emotionally & intellectually, the physical ideal fades in importance.

I agree with Yobster, you have to be confident - men can scent that from miles away, goes back to the cave man days!

Why do you assume men are shallow if they're not attracted to someone with a "fuller" figure irishlass ?
Speaking for myself, I spent many years having to stay in shape for sports and so I tend to be attracted to people who are in good shape (i.e. not too skinny or not too fat) but that's just my personal preference.
Also while physique might be what draws me across a bar to speak to someone, personality and sense of humour will be what makes me stay chatting or ask them out !

I am not assuming all men are shallow sir just the ones she has run into,it was a bother enough for her to ask,you see most men...now let me see how did you put that? oh yea you said"while physique might be what draws me, personality and sense of humor will be what makes you stay,well most women don't get that chance because certain men,(not all)don't care about what is on the inside,but too I have to agree with you that you must be attracted to the person physically first.No offense intended.
