(Homer Simpson's dad advised him against persuing Marge, telling him "NO! Always go for the less attractive girl!" LOL. And I guess it's easier to act confident around someone you're not really attracted to; and easy to fall to bits and make a fool of yourself around someone you -are- attracted to.)

Basically, I think your ripping yourself off by not going for someone who 'glides across the floor' and makes your chest 'thump' when you see them. And if you don't feel that way about them, stop wasting their time and let them find someone who does appreciate them. You're not just selling yourself short, you're selling them short of someone who might genuinely appreciate them.

Or, you can someday (when she rumbles you) risk the wrath of the woman whom you can never look at with "eyes on fire".

This will be around the time she says to you,
"You're not really attracted to me, are you???"
(No answer will be correct; she's already been analysing you for weeks or months...she's figured it out...You've been rumbled!...Now she's going to 'keep' you a while...to torture you...out of revenge...
...and there'll be nothing I can do to you at that point, so don't call me!)
