yeah seems like if you want to meet anyone these days you have to join a dating site
People just seem to be more reluctant to speak to each other out and about in general.

well i'd say we evolved to it rather then reduced to .... its much easier and time saving to chat online first i think and no alcohol to create beer googles

Btw I find that the old fashioned way still works just as well and it may even be better - at least you can see the person infront of you for what they are
Dating sites are just an alternative/additional way thats all...
its a great way to make friends if nothing else. but sometimes people are not the same face to face.

If this is what we have reduced to? I'd say it's more like evolution. I think it's good, I wouldn't like to have to go to town every evening just to chat with someone. Meeting friends is ok, but they don't live so close so I can see them so often. And the nightlife out in town won't die out overnight, theres always someone who prefer to do it one way over the other.
Or maybe you just answered your own question? Maybe the old fashioned way is just that? Then again, the really old fashioned way would be arranged marriages and so on :P

There is lots of ways to meet and I agree it has just evolved and become an alternative way to meet people... i know some are not the same in rela life but u can usually get a fair idea...I think it can work here sometimes, and it's not a case of being "reduced to" anything but it is nice to see what people are out there and why not!
I still meet woman when I'm out. just come here to chat and have a laugh
