Well it could be a number of things...yes perhaps you are infact dating similar women and they really are not rocking your socks..
Perhaps you have been hurt acutely in the past and now are detached emotionally from getting to involved...remaining aloof and distant...
Perhaps you are really dissatisifed in yourself and personal growth so the women that you date are just an attempt at trying to fill the void you are feeling..if so you need to find satisfaction within yourself before anyone will please you emotionally..
don't push it hun..just enjoy peoples friendships..
Being single is not a curse..it is really gratifying to be able to enjoy your own company and discover new things about yourself and what you are seeking to GIVE to another rather than expect.

Wonder what emotionally numb means.
If it means doesnt feel any heart connection, any feeling of love or even affection for anyone - would recommend get a massage to awaken the body.
If it means doesnt feel any desire (yes, that desire) for a woman - maybe you just havent met the right woman yet.
