Looks like the media are warming up for Sarkozy's visit on Monday, Labour leader Eamon Gilmore will not attend, And Fine Gael may follow suit, with officials only confirming they are sending a "representative" to the meeting, rather than clearly stating Enda Kenny would attend.

Nicolas Sarkozy, is the President of the EU.
Sarkozy is known for his strong stance on law and order issues, and his desire to revitalise the French economy. In foreign affairs, he has promised closer cooperation with the United States, and a strengthening of the entente cordiale ( A series of agreements on Military co-operation, Colonial expansion and Diplomacy)
He is visiting Ireland on Monday to listen to why the Irish people voted no to the Lisbon Treaty.
Interesting development from reading the papers and from elsewhere in the last few days is that a lot of people that voted Yes have come out and said they will vote no next time.

Beginning to look like it, with a few changes I imagine. I think Sarkozys visit on Monday, although it is to listen, being true to form he is likely to shoot from the hip!
could be interesting times ahead alright. They don't know when to leave good enough alone. Aren't we happy battling on the way we are. next they'll want to rebrand the European Union again.
I wonder what they'd call it. I have too suggestions.
how about the United Kingdoms or the Unified States.

Funny you should say that, it seems there is in fact plans afoot to look at the re-branding of the EEC ECEU, probably the EF European Federation
