Hiya wave

I'd say either Perlico or Clearwire would be the cheapest. Both are around €10 a month i think. Although after the Smart Telecom fiasco last year, i'd be more inclined to stick with Eircom as i find them the most reliable. I think as in most cases, you get what you pay for....JMO

Some options are:

digiweb.ie

clearwire.ie

Mobile Phone O2, Vodafone, 3 all have mobile broadband offerings. Coverage for all is a bit hit and miss and all advertise more then they deliver in terms of quality and reliability. 3 is considerably cheaper and also offer a pay-as-you go service. All the others require you sign contracts commiting you to them for 12 months.

It really depends on your location. If you are close to the centre of Drogheda I would expect reasonable coverage.

Tech support for 3 is truly horrifically bad. The others are just bad.

I am with BT but have a phone line. It goes painfully slow between 7 and 9 every evening.

I was with NTL once, words cannot describe how awful it was. Though I have heard they have improved.
