Time to get out the home brew beer kit again!..although supermarket beer wasn't as cheap as it is now during the last recession.

In one way a recession might be no bad thing..it might wake up some of the young bucks who've had it so easy, but on the other hand I don't want the misery of the eighties again.

I had no misery in the eighties. I was drunk from start to finish. Now if I could only afford a new liver!laugh

But like yourself, and I don't want to see people evicted from their homes, I think a couple of tight years wouldn't be a bad thing to put peoples feet back on the ground. The country had gone mad!doh

Well if you want to help ease the recession, support your local traders and small business, and keep the money in the Irish economy.Don't run to the internet automatically expecting to get the best value, talk to your local shops and see if they will bargain with the online price.

Tradesmen have already dropped prices. Now maybe we mere mortals can get a plumber/carpenter etc for small jobs, at a reasonable price.

Last few years they weren't interested.

never so much as pissed on the West of Ireland, so it makes no difference to me, just tell it to shut the cat flap after itself.
