hey guys just letting ya know theres a security pacage called windows anti virus 2009 on some sites do not download it im having trouble trying to get rid of it so if ya have had the same prob please post on here how ya got rid of the dam thing reg bi...

oh dear, could be fatal...will ask in work tomorrow - work in web...
i presume you tried to uninstall it yeh?and is it def microsoft windows and not some scam? plus update your antivirus or do a scan check...

So what are the remaining problems that you're having because of this package? What tools have you used so far (anti-spyware, registry edits, etc)?

yah done all that even got the most recomended remover tool and supprise supprise still on the dam thing course genius here didnt have a restore point on his computer before todays date ahhhh seriously im really lookin for a scalple now at this point to route out this btch

you can always fdisk it but that will wipe it clean, if you have to do that and you have important things on your computer you can email them to your yahoo email addy or which ever one you use and save them there before you upload your new windows, by the way what windows do you have? your os

Actually, I've seen some of the nastier malware thingys delete all the previous restore points, or sometimes actually infect them...

msconfig and regedit are too good places to start when trying to rid your machine of things like this, that said...

Do some searching on them to see what help you can find

also

Improper use of them, especially regedit, can totally mess up windows. Still, at the moment, you're prob looking at a re-install, so I'd say copy any important stuff, e.g. documents, favourites, settings and that off the machine before you try anything major.

Often, you can get lucky with the msconfig app, as this is usually the first place this kinda stuff hides.

If it's worked for you, then that's great.

And remember, no matter what you install, always check msconfig afterwards just in case anything slipped in...
