No is the answer to that, in fact 45 is a good age to think about it.
Think of all the life experience that a 45 year old would have,
and also would hopefully have put the "wander lust " behind him.
So much knowledge to impart to a child.
I know of one such man, and when i see him pushing the buggy with his beautiful little daughter ,and how they get on together, it's just magic.
He is such a gentleman, and if she asks him something, he will take time to explain to her, not just brush her aside , like i have seen so many others doing, which is so wrong, children can absorb so much, and it is great to give them to time. This man is in his late 40's.
I say go for it , if someone is stable minded, keeps healthy and fit,
and can provide for a child, for up to 20 years.
