I can remember going to the show, buying a pop and a bag of popcorn, all it cost was 25 cents. Not to mention the huge ice cream cone for the walk home that cost a nickel.

Yes I can.
Do you remember when there was no internet and no computers in the home?

I can even remember the day when spelling mistakes were "free",...now what used to buy a pop and some chips, is what I owe the jar for a single slip!
langleygirl: Gee whiz, you guys are sounding like a couple of old geezers!!!
Maybe that's because I've never been to a movie where the popcorn was only 25 cents!!!
We might be a couple of old geezers but we are nice old geezers. I do remember when hot pants were in, Da Moose but I didn't wear them very often, just didn't think I looked that good in them.

I ain't a geezer yet! But I am indeed nice!
Ahhh, hot pants! Fond memories of that fashion statement!
Do you remember when it only took a half hour or less to get through airport security?
A_Non_A_Moose: Ain't that the truth!! I bet even if I showed up buck naked with no carry-on it would still take two hours to get through all the nonsense,....
Do you remember when you called the couch/sofa,...a Chesterfield? (I guess you can still get them,...but when I was young,...I always heard it called Chesterfield,..)
We always called it a chesterfield, haven't heard that used for a long time.
Do you remember when the first cell-phones came out(I believe they were called transportable phones). They were about the size of a small briefcase.

I remember thinking people were crazy to be "crazy" over those dolls! I never did see anything like what you describe as I wasn't waiting in line!

Consider yourself lucky! It was like someone let everyone out of the asylum and they all came to buy cabbage patch dolls.
langleygirl: OMG too funny. You have to wonder if they think back to those moments and realize how insane they acted!!
The Cabbage Patch craze was indeed crazy! But hey, it was the late seventies and we were all a bit nuts back then. Funny thing is, all that fury might have been worth it had they appreciated over time,...but you can get them on Ebay cheap. What parents won't sometimes do for their children,... (for it was parents doing the fighting so little Suzy would have her Cabbage Patch Doll!)
Do you remember when you were 17. The legal drinking age was 21 and it was always a challenge to get in the bars. Draft was 10 cents a glass and the girls were a plenty. Wow!!, times do change.
