Just wondering are there any good tips people have

Last bit of advice I heard was

Close your mouth and move!!

dancing Straight to the point and makes sense.

Also if u are prone to snacking, distract yourself instead and craving should pass eg ring someone / put on favourite song / read a chapter etc

Park the car a bit further away from your destination, even if its only a couple of hundred yards it is making you take more steps. If you get the bus get off a stop or two early.

WATER WATER WATER

Half an hour before you have a meal drink a glass of water it will make you feel fuller.

When you feel hungry have a drink it is a known fact that people often mistake thirst for hunger but drinking water is great makes you feel full flushes all the toxins out of your system and makes your skin look great. If you dont like water try it with some low or no sugar added squash.

An old WW tip was everytime the news came on during the day have a glass of water it becomes automatic after a few days.

Try and eat alkaline foods, as acid in your body makes the body produce fat.........it does this to protect the acid attacking your major organs, so the fat essentially stores the acid on various parts of the body, this is individual to all of us.....you know yourself where the fat goes on you. This happened to me......white wine is a killer for this and on a psychological level, if you don't release your anger, in a safe way, your body becomes acidic too. (I'm trying to cover as many angles here!) Also on a paychological level we eat for comfort, many o*al people do this to protect themselves, so reflect on why you are protecting yourself?

You can google "o*al person" to find out more.

Also look at your own baggage, we all have some we carry. Fear being one of the main one. You can start small by looking at what you are carrying around in your bag, take a few things out, make it lighter, do the same with your wardrobe, by physically doing this, this sends a message to your unconscious and when you feel safe, these issues will come into your consciousness.

Also try a health shop for Alkaline drops, add this to your water, it doesn't taste bad and you'll see the benefits of it within about a month. This worked for me.

Ok ladies, I am going out for a walk, coz I have been unbelievably lazy and as a result I have been quite stuck!

Good luck to you all............Trich

Chicken bovril!
It may sound horrid but if I have the munchies for something salty and savory i.e chips, I have a cup and the craving goes right away!

My tip is find a sport you enjoy, exercise is brilliant for you, even if its only a ten minute walk, it helps you burn calories and release's happy hormones to make you feel better.

Yeah my mum swears by the cup of boiling water and lemon in the morning says its great for inner cleansing I have tried it but you have to make sure you get unwaxed lemons or give them a good wash before you use them I dont drink tea or coffee but I do like this.

I used do this and did not feel as groggy or lethargic as i would have felt had i eaten a carb-loaded meal.

Fruit gums are great as they are sweet, last ages and a good alternative to higher cal sweets.

Try this one:

Don't butter your toast straight away when you take it out of the toaster. Piping hot toast uses up a lot more butter than if you let it cool for a minute.
FriendlyFeline
If you try using a smaller plate you will pile it high without feeling guilty.

also ladies another ww tip is if u really feel the need for something sweet , the mini creme eggs in the bag are only 1point each so pop them in the freezer and just one will do to get that craving away. also after eights are really low too. hope this helpshandshake
vonney
I find frozen sweede a great alternative to mash potaoes.

And WW meals are handy to have in the freezer, most of them are to small to fill me though so I add some veg to make it a bigger meal.
ladylumps
The after eights are 1/2 point each I find the chupachups are great also only 1/2 point each but its only the fruit ones you can buy them in bags of 20 for about €2.50 great for a sugar hit and keeps you busy while you're eating them.

If theres any chocolate in the house I would automatically lash it into the freezer usually give up waiting for it to defrost
or the mood has gone off me by the time it does.
If you are a chocoholic buy the little fun size bars rather than the big ones and again put them into the freezer.

Yeah I know what you mean there, the WW meals are tiny and they dont have a great selection for veggies. If anyone likes the M&S count on us range they have started to put the WW points values on the count on us meals now and Tescos do the same with some of their low/reduced fat products.

You should have been given a little points finder for working out the points in the crisps. I think Tayto low fat cheese and onion are 1.5 points but the full fat ones from the multipacks are only 2. Watch the sizes though the multipacks are 24g and the reg packs are 37g I think have made that mistake a few times doh
Walkers lites are 1.5 points as well I think again for one of the multipack bags. wave

I lost a lot of weight last year on weight watchers core plan. One of the most useful things I learned was not to fear potatoes, ate them everyday , sometimes twice a day, boiler or mashed without butter of course. Try them with baked beans or tuna,or any low fat food.Potatoes will keep you full longer than any other food, this definitely worked for me,on days I didn't eat them I felt hungrier.

ladylumps
In the plastic ringbinder you got theres a points finder at the back of that your leader should have gone through that with you at the meeting all newbies have to stay behind at the end of class to go through it and she/he explains how to use the points finder.dunno

Its at the back of the living section the one with the blue tabs

Hi all,

Just a reminder that we can enjoy a mug of chocolate with very few calories or any artificial chemicals.

I just had a mug of organic cocoa with zip cals, and sweetened it with a touch of low fat milk and 'stevia', a natural herbal sweetener with no cals! smitten thumbs up
dreamAngel70
chew your food slowly! don't drink, while having meals! drink loads of water! don't eat after 8pm.
spoil yourself once a week!

For my sweat tooth and desire for desert I have come up with,

take 4 small drinking glasses, split a small banana between them, usually about 4 slices in each, spoon set sugar free jelly on top, I like orange best, and then split a tub of WW youghurt between them

I eat one a day after dinner, so on the fourth day I add the points

Banana 1
Jelly 0
Youghurt ½

= 1½ point for 4 days deserts.

One day I may get decadent and add a grated square of chocolate spread over the for another ¼ point a day or 1 point over 4 days grin
