As the Eagle flies
Author: Unknown
I saw an Eagle fly today and it's beauty, my breath it stole away.
On out stretched wings if flew with grace, and its cry my soul it did shake. As I watched a dream was weaved, the Eagle that flew was me it seemed.
High over mountains, rivers, and valleys I flew, with white clouds flowing beyond my view.
I circled, I dipped, then to heights anew with the winds beneath my wings I flew.
My wings beat faster and my breath came short as I climbed higher and higher, and higher more.
Master of my destiny. Head held high with my wings stretched FREE.

About this poem:
I had just been through a bad break up and was pretty down. I was up in the mountains in Park City Utah, and saw that eagle flying and it just came to me. I could choose to fly or stay grounded. I realized that I was truly master of my destiny. We all are.
