The Book
Author: Unknown
The chapter is over, the page has turned,
I still have not found the knowledge I yearn.
This book is long, as you can see,
The end is far, near eternity.
Such a huge feat, and endless mine,
All streaming information in one ceaseless line.
So great for just one man, too vast for a single mind,
We must cooperate to read it all, all of human kind.
The universe, you see, is one big book,
The knowledge is there, you must merely look.
Hidden behind the pages and folds,
That we slowly uncover to see what it holds.
We search, we discover, we look, and we see,
Yet through generations and generations we’ve yet to find the key.
The reasons, the answers to the questions we ask,
All hidden still behind this timeless mask.
So with generations before, and with generations there will be,
We will all keep searching for the reason, the meaning, behind you and me…
