VERITAS!

Oh Veritas!! You cruel, offensive, two faced lurker you. ... why do we always assume you will set us free when you intentionally imprison us with your seductive intrigue ... enticing us away from the only truth we can know. This moment ... fate's decree.

That uni-dimensional slice of the continuum that exists between what was and what will be ... Oh, I know it is there because i can see me. You, on the other hand, seem to find amusement in bewitching and pestering me to go in search of what i can never see ...as if driven by the need for some form of entertainment.

Or that simply the heartless harlequin in you Veritas ??

Surely I can only taste true freedom by ending this ageless rummage for you. How? By using this very moment to surf the wave of ephemeral existence, the moment we call 'now'.

Now be gone Veritas!! Find another plaything. Cease your turbulent presence and allow me to be calm.

About this poem:
I wrote this 05/06/2008 03:00 - I had had a sleepless night, tossing and turning with my mind whirring about the topic of 'Truth' ... a subject in focus at that stage of my life.

I couldn't stand the state of turbulence I was in .. so I came downstairs to the PC and started to put it down .... it took one sitting of about 2hrs.
