THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME

THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME

I TURN ON THE NEWS TODAY.

TO SEE WHAT THE WORLD HAS TO SAY.

I SEE A GROUP OF PEOPLE AS THEY DRY AND PRAY

THEY WALK AWAY IN PAIN AS THEY PUSH THE NEWS CAMERA AWAY.

AND THEY ALL KNOW THAT NOT EVERY THING IS GOING TO BE OK.

ANOTHER PERSON THAT LOST THEIR LIFE.

ANOTHER PERSON THAT WISHES THAT THEN HAD THE CHANCE TO SAY GOOD BYE.

AS I THINK TO MY SELF THAT COULD BE ME I SEE THERE ON THE TV.

I COULD OF BEEN THAT DRUNK DRIVER OR THE PERSON HE HIT HEAD ON.

I COULD BE THAT CRAZY CRIMINAL WITH A GUN

I AM THANKFUL FOR THE LIFE THAT I AM CHOSEN TO LIVE.

I AM TREATING EVERY DAY LIFE A GIFT.

BECAUSE ONE DAY THERE WONT BE ANY OF THIS.
