my enemy

i am so lucky
having you as my enemy
having you to hate
having you to fight

i am so lucky
having you as my opponent
dreaming your death
planning the million ways to kill you

i am so lucky
having you in my life
someone to blame for
all my mistakes

i am so lucky
you are always there for me
cause if you didnt exist
i would have to invent you

you see my dear enemy
without you in my life ,
i would had none to kill ,
but me

to our ""enemies" real and imaginary

i am talking about the imaginary friends we upload on them all the problems and the mistakes of our life, accousing them for our impotence.

I think you speak to the heart of good vs evil and them vs us. I think at the foundation we hate them because they are not like us or don't believe what we believe or disagree with us. If you look at history, one of the wierd ones is religion. Did millions of people get killed because they didn't believe in a certain way of worshipping God? Now that we don't have Russia, we have to find new enemies or invent them.

there is a great greek poet , named varnalis , u can google him. he writes on a poem about a city that waits for the barbarians to come they have opened the gates and the rulers of the city r waiting with gifts . suddenly a messenger comes and says , the barbarians left, the rulers look at each other , asking :and now , what shall we do w/o the barbarians , they were some kind of solution .lol
