Dear God

I will not claim I am perfect
When I know I am not
I will not try to be sneaky
Because with You I am caught
I will not question my faith
And risk all that I've got
I will teach those around me
About what I've been taught

You turned it all around
When I wanted to just die
You told me not to give up
And so I listened and I tried
You are always here for us
That keeps my spirits lifted high
You will greet me in heaven
When on earth I say goodbye

You are my creator
You are my maker
You do more than give
And I am more than a taker
I appreciate You, God
Now I believe
Thank You for everything
The simple fact that I breathe
