Life

When the world has become too much to bare,
And you feel that your life has nothing to share.
Remember the moments with true friends and family,
The love, the laughter and the fantastic memories.
The pain, hurt and betrayal by force,
Needs the time to heal and run its full course.
When the storm finally passes and the sun starts to show,
You then take the time to watch nature grow.
Find something or someone that is just right,
For me it was my granddaughters, they are my light.
Your importance to many is far more than you know,
Your life is important, it is your turn to glow.
Remember the love, the hugs and the kisses,
The smiles, the giggles, and the little girl wishes.
Anything can be accomplished, anything can be done,
With the dreams of sweet children your life can be fun.

You've written a topic that touches many a women's heart. You wrote about strength, humility, patience, love, faith, hope, celebration of life...you covered a lot of positive human emotions and values in just a few lines. Only a person who has been through all that who can describe and paint it like you did in this poem...

I am a new grandmother and I have never missed anyone in my life that really ripped my heart than missing my grand-daughter across the Tasman...

I look forward to reading from you again and welcome to Poets' Corner, may you find a happy place amongst the poets here. handshake wine bouquet
