Missing You
Dear Poet,
It was beautiful
today
to sit in a booth
in a coffee shop
at the edge of the universe
and watch …
A little girl
in a winnie-the pooh T-shirt
walked by … fixing her hair …
smiling …giggling
becoming part of my world /
becoming part
of my existence /
becoming part
of my words to you
this afternoon … part
of our dance /
I wanted to
pick her up
and squeeze her, but I didn't.
She passed
like wind … like sunshine /
Erroneous: "like a sunset
she moved
west"
and gone
~
The muse
waits
for you to undo
your mind …
The muse
waits
for your candlelight … and your solitude
The muse
waits
for you to unleash
your desires
onto the screen … to unleash
the secrets
that burn
inside you
The passion
The distance
And the closeness
the distance brings you
to yourself
Perfect, perfect poet.
~
We
would be perfect,
dancing together
in the night
We
would seduce
the muse …
and use
our passion
like blankets, and walls,
and shades
on the windows
~
The seduction
of a soul … with whispers
The seduction
of a soul … with poems
The seduction
of a soul … in candlelight, and night
in a booth
at a coffee shop
at the edge of the universe
~
My life suits me / only sometimes, poet
laughter
tears … time to write / time to think /
time for visions
time for fantasies
time for images created, and released
time
to tell the morning
my thoughts … time
to find your words
waiting
when I return
in the afternoon
such perfection
such strength
I picture you, poet
sitting
at your computer / reading
your poems
on a make-shift stage / surrendering
to the night
as day
leaves
again
Your intelligence
Your talent
And me
keeping
your image
close to my heart
keeping it private /
watching it
only
while writing
you a poem …
or writing you words … like the words
I writing you
tonight
~
I miss you, sweet poet
You are special ….
so beautiful
and your poetry ... like a lifeboat /
always, always keeping me a float.
Take Care,
~SAS~

About this poem:
Some of you have asked Who the "Poet" is
in these entries, "Poet" is one of several different
Poets/or just myself- just depends on what I say.
Sometimes it's easier to plead the 5th :)
