As I Lay Dying

As I lay dying.
My heart bleeds for thee.
Beating slowly and rythmically.
I can feel each pulse inside of me.
I slowly close my eyes to a mortal world one last time.
My body grows light as the life flows from me.
My soul sinks into despair as I think of what I am leaving.
My heart aches and my chest is heaving.
One life left behind on this evening.
As I lay dying.
My heart bleeds for thee.
