Reason for My Rhyme
Author: Unknown
My life was like a rhyme with no reason,
An unfinished phrase.
In my song, there was no melody,
Always an uneven pace.
No fires to start, not even a flame.
Dull moments were there always,
No one with whom to play a game.
Then something happened, you came along.
You brightened my day,
And gave me a song.
You gave me a rhyme,
A point at the end of my phrase.
My song will never be wrong again,
Not now, nor the end of my days.
Now the fires burn within me,
There are always great flames.
Life is so exciting,
Never-ending are the games.
You, my son, have made my life,
Fully and so complete.
I thank God for you and I love you,
From your head to your tiny cute feet.

A child is certainly a blessing and enriches life beyond measure (even as a teenager!). Thanks for sharing.
