HIPPIES ARE FOREVER

I KNOW THAT GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN HIPPIES RULED; BUT THERE ARE STILL PLACES LIKE SAN FRANCISCO AND NEW YORK; WHERE HIPPIES STILL RULE WITH AN IRON FORK! THEIR DRESSUPS ARE WONDERFUL; AND THE THOUGHT OF FREE LOVE, IS UNEQUIVICAL! WE NEED TO BRING THE ERA BACK IF WE ARE TO BRING TRUE LOVE TO ITS GREATEST HEIGHTS! THE LORD HAS LONG HAIR;BUT I NEED NOT GO THERE! HIPPIES ARE FOREVER ACCORDING TO MY AMAZING INSIGHTS!

I don't have to remember. I lived through that era. However, I didn't iron my hair and I didn't drive a flowered VW beetle or the big VW bus. I wasn't a "flower child" - I just planted flowers. The main thing that I think generated that era was the long bloody "Vietnam War" which robbed my generation of many many good young men who never volunteered to go but were drafted and forced to go. Thus the peaceful protesters and love children.

I don't know where you got the idea that "the days are gone when Hippies ruled" western society has only just caught up with what we believed (as Hippies) 40-50 years ago.
Think about it Solar Power, growing your own Vegies, Global Warming. When we went to the shops we used Paper Bags and took our own bags to carry everything home in, we had Glass Milk and Drink Bottles which were returned to be used again.
I say the time has come for us to Rise again !!!!!! (lol) and show the rest how to live in Peace and Harmony.
Come on,,,,,,,,,,,lets show them.
