Sharks

I'm just a shark
Yes, I'm only a shark
And I'm swimming here in the Pacific
Well it's a long time since I ate a swimmer
The sun's going down and it's gettin really dimmer
I know I'll be in a bowl of shark fin soup someday
Oh, I know it's just a lark
But today I am still just a shark
-It sure must be hard being a shark
Well I'm one of the lucky ones
Even though shark fin soup consumption in China has fallen 80%
It's gaining popularity in countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia
And it's still really popular in Hong Kong and Taiwan
-Oh No!
Oh Yeah!
Oh I know it's a lark
But today I am still just a shark
"I caught you shark, now you're a bowl of soup!"
OH NO!!

About this poem:
Going to The Meg tonight again. This is a parody of I'm Just A Bill from School House Rock I used to watch in the 70's and 80's. I love sharks, though I am afraid of them.
