A rattling door

early dusk but
the entry light
lights not.
a masked woman
sihouetted stands.
Ah - not a woman
But an ex-wife
holding in her hands
a small box.
Mooncakes she says
and I say
'Oh you shouldn't have!'
Meaning
'Oh you really shouldn't have'.
Vague pleasantries
exchanged she departs
and the porch light
lights as she does so.
Four mooncakes,
a sudden sugar rush
to the mouth,
one quarter of one
is my limit!
