So very clever and true. But sometimes we expect, anticipate too much, each time thinking this must be the right day. Perhaps we should stop building expectations, in fact, don't even expect anything, help ourselves to many other things, such as poetry and many others, and wait, knowing well there is always someone for anyone. This way, by avoiding frustrations we may pull a winning ticket one day. Thing is, we can't possibly do without luck: “To reach the future, man needs to be clever and, more important than this, he must be lucky!” (Mehmet Murat ildan) Good luck to you, dear poetess! Hi S.M. - I wrote this last June 2015. Since then more male poets like Cafe and JimEee have encouraged me. There were some poets last year, but alas - they have left the poetry site due a disagreement of which I'm in the dark about. But that's okay.

Mady: Cafe and JimEee certainly keep us entertained. Especially Cafe with his castle parties and special tea. I have my suspicions about that tea! I think it has a little proof (you know what I mean) added to it - similar to Irish coffee!

Thank you Topkaz. No one is perfect in this world. The thing that bothered me is they want a perfect woman but they themselves are not perfect.

Oh well - I must admit we too fantasize on our perfect man - but if the chemistry is there - I believe the chemistry is what makes the person perfect in OUR eyes.

I'm in my sixties I share your interests in garden poetry etc . I see you get lots of positive comments here from women and men and that's because people see your sweet nature and gentleness but what you have is feeling of not being good enough .I feel that way too despite getting lots of male attention .you see it's how you feel inside yourself that matters at the end of the day and no man can give you or me that confidence we have to build ourselves up and being online can be pretty soul destroying .stick with the poems the blogs don't even bother trawling through profiles if a guys interested he'll get in touch .I've had loads get in touch for years and I hesitate to ever meet anyone because of negative experience in the past . So youre not alone in how you feel us women need to realize there's a whole big world out there we can enjoy. Are you in a writing group .I joined small group recently and for our two hour session we mostly laugh a great deal were 5 women one man he doesn't always get us .....so look for groups you can join and have some laughter .I'm also in gardening online groups you can't meet nicer people than gardeners . Good luck chin up don't be beaten ......we'll survive. for you :

What I want to know is why do the guys think if they travel clear around the world 3,000 miles that they are going to find something better there then right under their noses. That is the mystery to me. But then they need to learn that for themselves.
