The year of dark-colored saddness
Days coal-pit black and grey gloomy grey
though rarely shiny, happy - blanched white
Now illuminated in my eyes and mind
As though the heavens opened up
And the Angel choir sang "Joy Is Yours "
Self-examination, doubt and dark fear
replaced now with glowing laughter
And heaven- rays sunny yellow- bright
You have replenished my thirsty soul with your words.
