I quite liked the first one or two but that's probably because it was a new concept. Pretty much the same with other reality TV shows where the novelty and the format works initially and then the lustre wears off.

Big Brother was another fine example. The first show was fairly good, a good mix of people and it was new, refreshing. Plus a little drama goes a long way, particularly when its not expected. Since then its just become a vehicle for assigning the more and more bizarre people and situations, etc to the point of farcical, then same ole-same ole yawn Tiresome and who in their right mind wants to spend the night watching others sleeping?! JEEZ.... help doh

Back to IACGMOH..... I do have a problem with the animal participation (none of it consented to, I gather?). Whether these animals are bred purposely for the TV show is irrelevant, in my book. And whether they are tiny bugs, considered "vermin", whatever, is also not acceptable to me. The two contestants on one series who (allegedly) killed a rat and ate it (not part of the scheduled itinerary) shouldn't have managed to escape prosecution. The Bush Tucker Trials involved these creatures are a cheap shot AND below the belt. If one is in a real survival situation, one has to do what is needed to survive. For what is considered "entertainment" (term loosely used, of course), not warranted.

Though, I think you will find human beings will find a way of justifying anything if they are so inclined....? Including bad judgement in how to spend one's time interestingly and productively....
dunno
