I take it this person is not a friend??

My friends are welcome anytime....they also respect that you don't drop around from 10pm onwards....as I wouldn't to them, they are the same will calling on the phone as am I. This is why we are friends because we respect each other.

Anyone else, it depends who it is, what they want, such as salespeople and what time it is..

Depends on where I am. In Germany, friends and relatives come by unannounced, I try to announce myself, but sometimes I don't. In the U.S., it's a bit different, at least where I'm at. You don't just drop by, even at friends' houses. People think of it as inconsiderate. Different culture.

I think it is extremely rude, selfish and inconsiderate of people to just drop in on you without asking in advance. Thoughtless and rude. People should wait to be invited for a specific time or else ask if they can drop by at a specific time, not just come whenever they feel like it.
