I paid my water bill, didn't really have an issue with it as it's something i use and need, i do however hate paying the bloody property tax, i mean what is that going on? i cant see what i'm paying for so that pisses me off.

ah all about taxing the lower classes such as ourselves more and moving taxation off the upper tiers of the system. very little to do about the policies they are connected to. disturbing really
I have protested in the lashings of rain against paying for water. That is already being paid for through taxes etc ,,to cut a long story short no is my answer and I'm sticking with that after all if we stick together on this how will they fit us all in jail .

You should be legally entitled to a rebate from paying your water .
When I get the bill like I did yesterday 350 euro I looked at. It and binned it .
The Scrooges will try any means they can to get it from us as far as taking it off a pensioners funeral fund .
I think most people accept that paying for water at some level is acceptable. The model up to this point in Ireland was some form of general taxation. This leads to what I see as a major issue with the whole Irish Water debacle. People already recognise that some type of central fund existed for provision of water services in this country. However, the government did not invest this money in water services. This is always the problem with services that are paid with central funding. Unfortunately, the government of the day has incentives to use this for other projects. This is yet another example of where the governments in this country have failed the people. We simply have to rip this all up and start again...

yes but Irish water should be directly paid for through the taxation, vat ,inland revenue that already exists in this country and in my view that's the governments duty to this country to sort. This mess out themselves and not bill us separately ,yes they have to rip it up and start again ,Tus Nua .
