In my opinion, it's YOUR life, not your parents life. HOWEVER, I do understand there is a cultural difference in ideology, so that being said, I would recommend following your cultures beliefs because, after all, your culture, is a part of who you are.

I disagree, i was in a relationship for 4 yrs with a Turkish man, his family would not even meet me, it caused huge problems in our relationship because he loved his family and was bought up it was wrong to go against their wishes.THATS NOT MY MEAN
