sharina: NO YOU HAVNT SAID ENOUGH...
the gov denied ever giving payments to settle...
my cousin works for the health board and they were given the money 3-5K to buy and tax a car...

a lot of them get free childcare.. and dont get me started on this cause i know for a fact because i work in a crech and its true.....
OK enough said.. hows the form... and luck lately..

I noticed they all have cars alright. I used to wonder how they could afford them. I have heard stories were families just off the boast refused houses cause they were too small and too far from town, so the government had to offer them a bigger house in a more central location. And there are Irish people on the housing list for years!frustrated

Well the reason they were saying to support the public sector workers was to prevent there being a divide because at the end of the day we are all wokers being screwed by this government doh

Not argueing with ya mate....But it doesn't matter what they were saying...Its still spin??? They were spinning the story to their point of view....Just like the government spins it to theirs. SIPTU and The Governments whole campaign has been spin. Dont think its a fact of workers turning against each other,,,,I think its Joe Soap, who took a big % hit to his Basic Pay in the summer and also a hit to his pension, saying why should i have to make sacrifices to my core pay and pension and public sector workers not?
dunno

Keeneland: I know people who have been on the housing list for years too and are still years from getting a house. The government will have to find a way of getting rid of all the red tape and appeal procedures that allows people here illegaly to stay for 10-15 years. I have no problem with legal imigrants. I think France have the right idea. Build large camps and hold them there until their cases are heard. That will make Ireland a less attractive option to someone entering the country illegally.

the one blole with 2 families and he has 2 identies....+ 2 houses 2 payments...
barf its done but very very hard to prove ..bring in finger printing / eye recognition..etc...on arraival into the country.. a passport is not a true way of identification..

like the taxi test(psv) my bro in law say the same bloke take it twice and the third time he reported him..

But not your core pay. Most people in the private sector have had both hit but for some reason public sector workers think they are more importnant than the private sector. We all know about the pension levy and most of us have had our pensions hit too. But can you give me one good reason why myself and ALL of my friends in the private sector should take at least a 10% core pay cut but public sector workers should not have to?
dunno

i voted to cut the public sector wage bill, but just the top end of it i dont think cutting pay at the lower end of the public sector is a good idea because we need to try to keep people spending. I would put a cap on wages so that nobody could be paid more than the minister for the relevent sector
