We did not do much recruiting in Afghanistan. You know the high air....makes for the long ball game...not our style of aggressive
defensive play.
But now Iraq....that is a different matter. What a recruiting opportunity for us. The way Sadam was treating the people and having his sons intimidate the Iraqi soccer players. They wanted try outs with the American side so badly. They let us into the country.

Germany have always been favorites for the title, although no such big stars as have teams of Brazil, Argentina, Spain ... they just have a mentality of winning and should never be written off.
The same goes for Italy.
