crystalpistol: Just wondered what other people would do. Thanks...Crystal
I'm a nice guy--try to give people the benefit of the doubt. As I've gotten older, however, more and more I am not willing to wait. It's my opinion, too, that people are "late" on purpose. It's game-playing. Let me tell you something I have learned: No one is worth giving up your inner character and respect for. No one. If it feels like you are being "pushed" (by the person who is late) and you really believe you are in the right--ditch him (or her). People need to be on time. Period. If, as a busy medical assistant/home-owner/ etc... I could be on time and answer calls and letters, then anybody can. I just don't buy it. People can, and should, be punctual.
Not me. It's a better strategy to test resolve over a period of several weeks, or even months.
Seriously, I would not do that although I can't speak for other women. That tack might have its virtues but I think we should treat people the way we ourselves would want to be treated and if I knew someone was testing me like that, I'd walk out the door FAST.
But I'd wait for a little bit for a legitimate reason. Seems resonable.
