Thats very true, but people can choose to portray a different visage even when you are sat 10 foot in front of you, on a daily basis, if you wish.
Ive heard many people say in life "oh, I really thought I knew him/her", after being married for 25 years.
Trust is the key, and it dont matter whatever the method of falling in love is.
Better to make friendship, if there is chemistry, then plan to meet. Only after meet in person u can decide. On net people can be whatever they want to be, so.....be carefull to safe our heart.

I refuse to let my feeling go until I lay my eyes on the person and see if who I have been seeing in the picture is the same person
something changes when you finally meet the person it either goes to another level of intimacy or it goes downhill for what ever reason
so what put all that emotion and feelings and let your heart go when you have not seen the person and have not gotten to know them better
