skinnyminnypink: Country all the way .... by choice, can always drive to city for stuff and stuff but nothing better than the peace and quiet and small numbers of people, big cities scare the bejasus out of me ... the anonymity and apparent lack of community .... just my perception but give me country any time .... country girl at heart .... and have the steel toe capped wellies to prove it
That's the great thing about Cork city. It is a city, but not the same amount of anonymity and has a nice community feel. It's still not home, but I'm comfortable there.

Wouldn't want to say it too loudly .. but they're probably all still asleep, much prefer Cork to Dublin ... dispute as to whether Kilkenny is a city or a town, really love Kilkenny but will always head out to the country at the end of the day ....

going to be another lovely day .....
I actually like Dublin myself, because I spent a lot of time during the summer visiting my relations there when I was growing up.
Lived in the arsehole of no where and loved heading up to the city to get away from the same faces but now living in the city i like to head up to the hills so id have to say a bit of both..

I have lived in towns at different times but always end up back out in the country. I used to love switching on the kettle and running across the street to the shop and be back with the biscuits before the kettle had boiled.
If I was within walking distance from the pub/shop I'd be happy.
grew up in Dublin (wouldn't live there again if they gave me a free house!) now live in town (like it and it is close to airport and Dublin for the odd gig or night out) love the country (just a 2 min drive and I have the countryside and the beach at my fingertips)
I really have the best of all places but am a born again culchie bumkin at heart
